I was involved with the alternative rock scene in Manchester around 2001 - 2004 and a lad who went on to manage The Courteeners went on Terry Christian’s radio show on a Sunday to play bands cds. It was great to see them get airtime.

I had the opportunity to meet him at The Roadhouse one night but declined it. I’ve never really liked him. He stood at the bar pretty much all night, introduced the headline act and left.

I didn’t like Tony Wilson either but I understand few people did.
