Tevez backs down ?

His biggest crime is that he's been an all-too-wiling pawn

I think that's a fair assessment, he's not bright enough to have been pulling all of these strings and orchestrating everything in the background. He's often given too much credit for his mental dexterity at times.

"Mongo Tevez only pawn in game of life".

Tevez close to losing even Gordon Taylor's support.

Well, at least Gordon Taylor hasn't made himself look stupid, by first siding with the criminals and liars exploiting one of his high profile members, and then trying to distance himself from them ten days later.

Idiot.

BUT......

gross misconduct. sack
sack. free agent

oh dear.

as someone said earlier, he is merely a prawn in a wider game - or is that a little too fishy?

No, we can sack him but still hold his registration so he can't play for another club (even a pub team) until the registration runs out. I'm pretty sure we can also sue him personally for loss of earning that a transfer would have fetched

Correct..theoretically we could sue him for his transfer fee

We might need a bit of luck trying to extradite him from Argentina.

If we can sack him then sue him that is definately the way to go! Might just give the jumped up prick a reality check!

We don't need to extradite him for him to lose his players license.
Not club could sign or play him, so he would never play professional football again.

He would also be severely restricted which countries he could travel too for the rest of his life.
If he landed in any country with have extradition agreements with, he would be detained and eventually handed over.
Getting any money would be harder, but it would serve football in general to show other players they cannot do what they want.

Personally, I think he's given up. I don't think he wants to play Kia's games any more either: To pretend to move his family here or there, to pretend to be unhappy, to do and say whatever Kia tells him to.

I think the criticism he's had over the last month is too much even for him. I think he's had enough now and just wants out. But it may be too late for that.

I agree with the above. I have no sympathy for him he has brought all of this on himself but I don't think his return to Argentina is one of his games.
