sounds like he's begging for us to rip up his contract so kia can get a big signing on fee, as it's still legal for Kia to own his rights in Argentina..
if he's not tied to an english club, any other club could be made to pay kia the 25m+ transfer fee...

to be honest.. at this point.. i just hate this ****.. and i hate that fact that kia represents other players on this squad.. notably DeJong who, what do you know, his contract talks have stalled..

Oh they will rip up his contract alright but they can keep hold of his registration which means he can play for nobody!!!

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

So now he doesnt show up to a meeting called by the club..

------------------
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez has chosen to remain in Argentina and not attend a meeting with the club on Monday but discussions have taken place between the two parties.

Tevez, 27, had been requested to return to England by City after he flew home to visit his family last week, apparently without permission from his employers. However, the Argentine has remained in South America while discussions take place between his advisors and the club.

''Over the weekend there have been a series of meetings and conference calls,'' Tevez's representative told PA Sport. ''Carlos is still in Argentina, however, both sides are kind of in agreement that they want a resolution as quickly and as smoothly as possible. Discussions will probably be ongoing for the foreseeable future.''

It has been reported that the meeting with City officials formed part of a disciplinary process but Tevez's representatives say they were not aware that was the case.

They also rejected claims coming from South America which said the striker had obtained a medical certificate which excused his absence.

"The meeting that Carlos was asked to attend today and subsequently didn't does not, from our view, form part of any ongoing disciplinary procedure,'' added Tevez's representative. "From our side we are not aware of any disciplinary procedure being invoked by City.''

City have declined to comment on the latest developments
:of course not.. why would they.. it would damage their case

It is likely that more talks will continue in the next 24 hours and it is anticipated that a solution will be found by the time that the week's international games are over and Roberto Mancini will have his full squad together to prepare for the Newcastle match.

Whatever happens, Tevez has been absent for too long, missing other training sessions, to be in a fit physical shape to be considered for the weekend even if he apologised to manager Roberto Mancini.

Whether Tevez finds a way back with Mancini or is sold in January is still among many issues on the negotiating table.

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

Somewhere this needs to come to an end and it is ever more obvious we are going to be parting ways with Tevez,

My one hope in all of this is that we are talking to UEFA and FIFA as well as the premier league and PFA about what this knob is doing. If he gets away with what he is currently doing then it sets a bench mark for the future and player power will go into over drive.

we need to stick by our guns, do things the right way but stress we want to now terminate this guys contract. We need assurances of the various organisations that they are on board with us and that they will give us the backing required. i have no doubt that Mr Taylor at the PFA will be well pissed off with Tevez after the support they gave him recently.

From what i understand the guy is very poorly educated and fortunatley can play football very well, however one day he may just realise what a bellend he really is and how Kia has just pulled the strings.

NO DOUBT HE MAY WELL REALISE THIS BUT HE STILL WON'T GIVE A TOSS.

Re: Tevez defies City and flies out to Argentina!!

Funny you should say that abu; the only reason I want this sorting now is to end this thread.

Do you think Herman realises how despised he's become ?

No. He thinks he's been badly treated. Such a crying shame. He could have gone on to be a legend here. Still, we'll be just fine without him. Onwards and upwards as they say......
