If that is the case, which it appears most likely to be, then I apologise to Shirley for jumping the gun in my above post. However, what does it matter if he was there. He perhaps should have stayed out on the bench and supported the team, but they didn't need him, furthermore he is not the type of player to give inspiration from the sidelines anyway. Whilst he is critised for sticking by the rest team, something needs to be said about fans who left. I saw one woman on the BBC who admitted that she left after Mackie scored in the 66 minute. furthermore I think it should also be highlighted that If Tevez hadn't come Back we would never have won the league, and whilst he should never of gone AWOL in the first place.
I think we have to give him credit for not sulking after not getting his move to Milan and being Man enough to come back and get on with it.
