Tevez [Merged]

Re: Tevez; I'm not convinced.

he;s a grafter, and will be a good defender of the half way line when we;ve not got the ball, putting the oposeing team under presure.A sort of rich mans vessell. We needed that away from home last season.SWP,Ireland, and now Barry are all box to box players. We are going to be some team to watch next season. The pace will put the sh"ts up any side[top4 included].A quality striker, and a man mountain of a centre half to give us height will be the iceing on the cake for me.I also think Bridge will find his feet after pre-season,and Richards will do the same..Kompany,Dejong,and Zab will have a job to fight for a place and I think one or more will excell under that presure and become a perminant fixture in the side.

Agreed great post mate. :)

Re: Tevez; I'm not convinced.

De Jong - Barry
-----Ireland---
Tevez-----Robinho
------TBC--------

Would be my guess at how he'd fit in.

I think i am one of the few Man City fans who doesn't really want Tevez. For the formation we play he just simply won't manage on his own up top and we don't have the players to change formation enough just yet. I would much rather Aguero with rumours stating we are in early discussions but Atletico Madrid are looking for around 45 Million.

----------------------------Given-------------------------------

Glenn Johnson---------Kompany---------Carvalho----------Bridge

------------------------------De Jong---------------------------

-----------------Ireland--------------------Barry----------------

SWP-----------------------------------------------------Robinho

-----------------------------Aguero-----------------------------

Subs: Hart, Onouha, Zabaletta, Johnson, Petrov, Bojinov, Bellamy

Even that Bench looks impressive, we seem to have some real Squad strength at the moment.

I really rate Nedum Onouha but i think he is still young enough to sit on the bench at the moment and perhaps we could bring Carvalho from Chelsea in for a couple of years. He is 31 but he is absolutely Quality and has already stated he would gladly leave Chelsea in this window. Nedum would only get better with someone like him in the team and it provides strength in depth.

Glenn johnson at right back would be a fantastic signing because in my opinion Richards isn't good enough this season. He strikes me as lazy and paticularly Naive with his positioning.

I don't want Tevez as much as i want Aguero, he would be a class signing and Tevez doesn't cut i for me hen we could potentially get Aguero or £8 Million more. With this team now i can see we could hold the ball up paticularly well within the midfield and with the right striker we couldbe suprisingly good with the possibility of pushingArsenal for Fourth. But only with the right signings.

Completely agree mate. I'd much rather we went after Aguero than Tevez. My mates seem to think we shouldn't go after Aguero because he's 'the same player as Robinho'... Absolute bollocks. Unlike the herman munster head, he actually scores goals

I rate it's a done deal there is people on here saying it's done, on ManCityFans.net and on the MEN Forums. Infact the someone on the MEN site said his brother worked as a security guard at OT and when Joorabchin walked past him today he said "No deal" it's all looking good for City...
