I've got a bet with my rag mate about that Tevez story.

If Owen scores at OT and United win, I pay for Owen printing on his shirt. I won't though ;-)
If Tevez scores at OT and City win, He pays for my Tevez printing on my shirt.
Change the bet to this:
If Owen scores in the derby at OT, you pay Owen's transfer fee to him.
If Tevez scores in the derby at OT, he pays Tevez's transfer fee to you.

i see glenn hoddle has stuck his two penneth in now saying what a good signing owen is and will do better than tevez at utd,why do they all kiss fergies arse.

I think this Monday rumour was started by the Daily Minger and they have been consistently wrong about the timing of it.
But even a buggered clock is right twice a day.

Well I've also heard that it's Monday, but hey, what do I know?

Fuck all, before you say it.

;-P

The NOTW said a while ago Tevez would sign on Wed 8th July and they did have the Barry/Tevez headline before most papers. Dont believe a word in NOTW normally but seemed strange that they picked that date specifically.

He's one of those mystifying creatures that somehow seem to be pro rag for no apparent reason except to be pricks. Andy Gray is their leader and Dave Dick-For-Brains Whelan is their cheer leader.

i can remember when owen stormed onto the scene, and hoddle then england manager said owen wasn't and never would be a natural goal scorer, think he just gets asked questions and just makes up shite on the spot to be fair

And presumably libelous.

depends what they claim they have said... eg Carlos Tevez said: "I love my mother more than anyone else." Is hardly defamatory even if he didn't say it but it could be injurious/malicious falsehood or one or two other things

Yeah, there's only a certain amount of freedom with quotes. The way I see it a quote doesn't have to be 100% exact but it has to convey what's said. Of course quotes are used out of proportion and blown up all the time. It might have been a joke or whatever, hard to know really. Sounded niice anyway. :)

a lot of people seem to think monday, does anyone else believe this?

I have no reason for this, but I half believe and I certainly think it will be this week because, apart from anything else, that would be in keeping with Kia's recent remarks.
