Yeah, there's lots of great players still out there and I'm sure Cook and Hughes will be able to carry on signing players of the quality of Gareth Barry. I think one of the most important factors surrounding the Tevez deal is that it involves the rags. If he joins us we'll have got one over them, if he stays where he is it will reflect badly on us (at least thats what the rags will say) If it was Arsenal etc who Tevez had been with I'm not sure the level of interest/eagerness would be quite so important to as many people

Also, as others have said, so what if scum have agreed a fee, I am sure City agreed one too so its down to the player who I am sure will want to play more often than not with World cup coming up.


If I was baconface, god forbid, I wouldnt really want to keep him as he was obviously so unhappy and I wouldnt spend so much money on him to keep him and play him the same amount of times.
