Should never have been a penalty anyway as the ref played the advantage, missed the open goal, then pulled it back lol

Yes but the referee played the advantage, it isn't his fault the player was incapable of scoring in an open goal.
As a referee you don't pull it back if the player misses an open goal. That isn't your fault.
