sorry to be the harbinger of doom and gloom but I have a bad feeling he will sign for the rags.
but I suppose it's the same win-win (or win-relative win) situation we were in with Berbatov last September 1st...even if we do lose out on Tevez to them at least they will have to pay more (they had been reported as looking for up to a third off the asking price, probably no chance now we're involved) - we're slowly but surely helping bankrupt the rags! :)

Are you joking? Have a look at him on derby days, those games means a whole lot to him. He'd absolutely hate it if he had to let Tevez go to us! In the end we might be a better alternative, but now he also knows we're becoming a force to be reckoned with.
Considering the teams that are in for him, then on a footballing basis we're well down the list. But you could've said that about Barry.
We talked to Garry Cook about Tevez tonight and a lad said "obviously United are in the driving seat" and whilst it's all down to interpretation, as Cook was fairly non-commital, he certainly gave the impression (to me at least) that we stood a chance. Hardly groundbreaking news I know, but there you go.

He gives a shit about us but in a different way, he doesn't yet see us as direct competition in the league/competitions like he does with the teams you mentioned, but he certainly cares about getting one over on us and would hate for the reverse to happen.

If they sign him for £25m then great, only last week the rags were saying there's a credit crunch on and they were only going to pay £10m.

What I am about to say has been posted many times before. Ferguson can offer Tevez all the money in the world and he will not sign with them unless he gives him first team football week in and week out. He wants to be a key player not a bit player. The second Ferguson guarantees him that will be the second that Tevez signs with the Rags. Although I do believe that at this point Tevez feels so mistreated that not even that will get him to sign.
