so some people on here think its a good idea to swap our best striker (by a mile) who is proven 20+ goals a season in the premiership for a defensive midfielder and an unproven striker?!
some of you are far too swayed by the mancini approach to games!!!!!!
I just cannt get my head around people who are keen for tevez to leave/to sell him. Its the biggest case of self desruct Ive ever seen in some of our "fans"
SO WHAT HE HANDED A TRANSFER REQUEST IN..............GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!
Im going to wait to see what happens when tevez leaves and we struggle next season and then for the first time in my history on Bluemoon I will say I told you so (and Ive had many other opportunities to do so but have resisted!!)
some fans on here combined with RM's/garry cookes clear poor management of a player is driving our best forward (in the last 30 years at least) to leave the club and I for one cannot understand this
This time last year Carlos Tevez was my favourite City player and (leaving aside England's performance) my main hope for the World Cup was that Carlos be the Player of the Tournament. Therefore I can easily understand why you - and many others - are desperate to keep him. But I am getting really fed up with your endlessly insulting the intelligence of anyone who believes that City will be a better team without him.
My own disenchantment with Carlos predates his December transfer request. In another thread, you have asserted that Roberto Mancini should have done more to establish a good relationship with him. Well, as we all know, he made him Captain. Leaving aside any considerations of gratitude, the key question is: Has Carlos acted like a true Captain. Having watched him very carefully, my answer is 'No!'. And clapping team mates, patting them on the back and showing genuine delight when others score do not require fluency in the English language. In particular, aside from David Silva, Carlos made no effort to encourage Mancini's summer recruits. And even then, when asked why he thought David Silva was City's best recruit, his answer was revealing: "Because he can put ME through one-on-one". Carlos is utterly self-centred, so much so that he has seen Mario and Edin as rivals.
I am grateful for what Carlos Tevez has done for City, particularly last season, and I may be even more grateful come Saturday night! And I will be delighted if Champions League qualification and winning the FA Cup are followed by Carlos winning the Golden Boot. However, much as it saddens me to say so, City will only progress on to the next level as a TEAM if he moves elsewhere.
