Sturridge isn't anything special. Adam Johnson playing solely as a winger has more career goals than him.

Sturridge would have been a perfect fourth striker for us. 12 league goals in his last 18 games and outscoring Torres, Drogba, and Anelka at Chelsea.

And Johnson has twice more career games than Sturridge and 3 more goals so that isn't a very fair comparison - they're different players anyway even if Sturridge can play wide.
