Been reading up on what transpired when Tevez handed in his transfer request. Some of the things that were said crossed lines and I am suprised so many have forgiven him so quickly (his goals help). However I believe we play a more flowing game without him bar the Liverpool game which had orginally been prepared with him leading the line. Does anyone actually see him coming back next season?. If given the choice of another striker would you want that to be the case and say thank you to Tevez and let him go?. I still think the timing was ill advised and that made me think how much he actually cares for the club?. He strikes me as a person who plays for himself and I believe others would contribute more if he was not so selfish. I think its time we tried different options.

Manchester City ready to sell captain Carlos Tévez to Inter Milan or Juventus
Manchester City are set to sanction the sale of Carlos Tévez this summer if growing interest from Inter Milan and Juventus results in the club receiving a realistic offer.

Although reports in Italy claiming that Tévez has agreed personal terms with Inter for a £40 million transfer are understood to be incorrect, senior figures at Manchester City now accept that Tévez is likely to leave at the end of the season, six months after withdrawing his request to leave during the transfer window.

Inter's interest in Tévez is long-standing and the European champions possess the financial power to fend off Juventus in the race to sign the 27 year-old.

Roma, recently acquired by an American consortium led by Thomas DiBenedetto, could yet rival Inter, but interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea has waned, while Barcelona have not expressed a desire to compete for his signature.

Despite the Italian interest in Tévez, however, City are determined to shelve any discussions over the player's future until the end of the season.

With Roberto Mancini's team still locked in a battle with Tottenham for the final Champions League qualifying berth, senior figures are keen to ensure that the club's focus remains solely on matters on the pitch.

Tévez, who cost City in excess of £30 million when he arrived from Manchester United in July 2009, is in Milan undergoing treatment on the hamstring injury which has left him doubtful for next month's FA Cup final against Stoke City.

The player's failure to return from Milan to attend last Saturday's semi-final against United at Wembley, while fully authorised by the club, proved a controversial decision among supporters because of his status as team captain.

But City's ability to overcome United without Tévez highlighted the ability of Mancini's players to perform without their leading goalscorer and Mancini is relaxed about the prospect of facing Stoke at Wembley without Tévez, should he fail to prove his fitness.

Mancini confirmed on Thursday that Tévez is likely to spend another seven to 10 days in Milan before returning to Manchester in an effort to recover in time for the Cup final, giving Mario Balotelli and the £27 million January signing, Edin Dzeko, a chance to secure their places in the starting line-up at Wembley.

And plans for boosting City's strike-force next season are already taking shape, with Udinese's Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez understood to be Mancini's top target.

If tevez is fit i wouldnt start him in the final anyhow, to me the line up should be the same as the semi, seems only fair the team that got us their with such a great performance deserve a crack at the final
