God almighty I despise AC Milan. I hope we somehow tap up Thiago Silva and make him want to join us.

Now that Alexandre Pato’s refusal to join PSG has scuppered the Carlos Tevez move, Milan are running back to Maxi Lopez.

It has been a whirlwind day for the Rossoneri, who had apparently agreed to sell Pato to Paris Saint-Germain for €35m, raising the funds to buy Tevez from Manchester City. Pato’s refusal to leave San Siro terminated the negotiations.

Instead, Milan are going back to their original plan to replace Antonio Cassano during his recovery from heart surgery.

Maxi Lopez had been the first target and a deal was reached with Catania in December, but their option expired when waiting to go heavily after Tevez.

Now it’s reported Maxi Lopez is back on top of the wish-list and the swoop could be completed within hours for a loan with option to buy worth €7m.

Get the latest news from Sky on Carlos Tévez. According to reports, leaders Inter have heard the news of the break with AC Milan Pato but will not move until after the derby on Sunday. This is because the City's official response has not yet arrived, so everything is still evolving. But there is Inter.

tuttomcarweb website...galliani...tevez will not be coming...he can go to the others...inter or psg....that is what we want....brilliant news....for me this will quickly happen now....and we can move for our very own targets....
