Tevez

Based on strong "rumours" on here today, our team up to now is looking like:

Hart
Zabaleta
Toure
Dunne/Richards
Bridge

SWP
Ireland
Kaka
Kompany
Robinho

Tevez

My 3rd pair of undies today have just been ruined.

not enough cover in midfield :P

He looked seriously pissed the other day when he was subbed walked right past Fergie without looking at him. I think the rags have been hoping to negotiate his fee down in the summer now that they have that lazy bastard as their first choice striker it would be so funny if it comes back to bite them on the arse.

I don't think Tevez is the person to play the lone striker role, he's a good player don't get me wrong but he's vastly over rated by many IMO. He works hard and all that but he's not consistant enough and his style of play doesn't suit playing up front on his own, don't get me wrong he's much better than what we've got but if we're to continue with the system we've got at the moment especially away from home we need someone a bit different to Tevez, he's not the kind of striker like Villa who will make runs beyond the defence he likes to drop deep too often

Agree he is not a lone striker, more a play on the shoulder of a main striker player. Would still have him though. Does anyone think 1 upfront is here to stay under Hughes or will he change this as the squad gets stronger?

by the sounds of it in twelve month's time we'll have that many attacking midfielder's we could'nt possibly play two up front. unless he play's a 3-1-2-2-2 or something like that. i like the sound of Toure but he's another right footer to play CH we need one who can play on the left of the two.

I don't really think having a left footed centre half is needed aslong as we've got two centre halfs who have a bit of composure on the ball. Look at United and Chelsea, they're centre half pairings when fit haven't got a left foot between them but they know how to use the ball and are calm under pressure where sadly none of our centre halfs at the moment know how to use the ball well

Even tho Tevez as been a Rag , id love him at city . This is the sort of player we should be in the market for , ability , movement ,strength and a fuckin real hunger to win.

Thanks Robbie I feel a bit left out at not being called a rag lol

Only United player I would take to be honest apart from Carrick.
I watched Tevez back in the days when he was 17/18 playin in Argentina back when channel 5 use to have south American football on at daft o'clock in the morning really good player how he doesn't get picked over lazy bastard Berbatov I don't know.

Mmmmmmmmmmm - Who should i play up front?

Tevez or Vas?

Tevez or Jo?

Tevez or Benjani?

Well - it's a difficult one - mmmmmmmmmmmm

Agreed. He never stops and never slows down. Had a grudging respect for him up till now, but would love him if he were here. Might teach a player or two of ours the type of constant commitment needed on the pitch to win.

I'd be delighted if he joined, but can't see it happening. Isn't he on loan at United until summer 2009? If that's contractual there's no way they'll release him from that. Apologies if that's already been posted, haven't read the rest of the thread. But if you're talking £20m for Santa Cruz then Tevez at £30m would be good business in my eyes.

Tevez would be a fantastic signing for us. Still think he'll end up in Spain though.

where is he going to go

united wont sell him to madrid also madrid want ladyboy and barcalona wont want him and he isnt going to go to anybody else.

city look favourites to me but i think we will have to wait untill the summer when his contract runs out at united.
