Mancini reckons at least 2 weeks out, therefore it's only a slight pull if he's saying 14 days.

Anything worse like a tear is 2-3 months at least.

Some are saying smokescreen etc.., no chance, a hamstring is a horrible injury. also an injury that can easily be done again after the process of just over coming it.

If Mancini is telling the truth and it definitely is the hamstring, the likelihood is he will be out for 2-3 weeks like he's stated. Tevez's reaction told you everything, if he was fit enough to stay on the pitch then he would of done, he's that sort of player.

If it's a cover up by Mancini which imo it's not, then we'll have to see won't we, but it's highly doubtful.

Re: Tevez's Injury

He's out 110% certain. Tevez told sky it was torn when he came off. Total disaster that game. It was a very bad result but it's also completely demoralised the fans and players at a crucial moment.

Do you think the rags will play a weaked side or get stuffed by chelsea ? I certainly don't.

Re: Tevez's Injury

3 to 5 weeks on the sidelines depending on the grade of tear.

He hasn't been right for sometime as is evident in his movement in games since the start of 2011.

Whether he has been tapped up by Spanish or Italian clubs remains to be seen.

Up to the other strikers to step up to the plate now.

We shall see how much they want fourth spot in the coming weeks.

Hopefully our well below what is required performance against a very average Liverpool side was a one off.

I'd rather the squad be tired and jaded and put in a decent shift than be " refreshed and eager as our illustrious manager puts it and but in efforts like this one.

More than likely now the result of our home game against Spurs will determine Mancini's fate.

No it wont...he wont be sacked before the end of the season. It depends on us finishing in the top 4. If we do..he probly wont be sacked.

I meant that its looking likely BCF that we will to prevent Spurs from winning that game in order to finish above them despite the fact that alot can happen in the remaining games to come.

We will not do a Bayern Munich and sack Mancini on May 11 if the result does not go our way of course.

Mancini may still keep his job if we finish fifth however if he continues to struggle to get the best out of the millions he has spent then again I would suggest the owners will make a change again which personally I think is not good for the club as a whole but again it seems the more you spend the quicker the expectation of a quick return of sorts comes with it.

So, he's gone then.........................

lose Tevez the match before the semi with the Rags. you just can't write this stuff. TYPICAL CITY

You mean typical Mancini, once he decided to change a winning team(madness)to protect players fir Sunday he should rested tevez too.we can't rotate yet, we arn't good enough, defeat was nailed on with those changes and to put tevez at risk like that was pure criminal.
The substitutions that followed were absolute farce.

Re: Tevez's Injury

Picking Tevez last night will ultimately cost Mancini his job, because without him we're not getting top 4 and are gonna lose on saturday

Re: Tevez's Injury

Would it be too much to expect City fans to get behind the team for the next few weeks?

We know it's a hamstring injury - but Mancini said we need another 2 weeks to get Tevez fit so the initial hope is 3 weeks.

He hasn't looked in great shape for the last 6 weeks, and this will take a little more toll on his body.

Huge blow given that Dzeko is useless without crosses and we have no one who can cross the ball apart from Kolarov. and Balotelli is too young to lead the line

Jo returns, or we play Kolarov on the left of midfield and Dzeko up front with Milner wide right.

But Milner has been played out of position almost all season.

Rapidly coming to the conclusion that Mancini lost his job when he signed Dzeko. Sadly I think that's how it's going to end up, and City are going to remain the laughing stock of football. Wish we could just get on with the league now and forget Wembley
