357mph on a train. Only caught the end of this on C5 but they said it's already safer than most flights. Is it in use yet? Anyone been on it or on a super fast train?

been on the tgv from london to the french alps
on the return journey the train was delayed three hours before setting off yet got to London at the alotted time, 600 odd miles in less than five hours

I watched the programme, they are amazing.

The french are so far ahead of us now where rail is concerned

Been on the Maglev in Shanghai. Pudong airport to downtown 30km in 8 minutes at a top speed of 431 km/hour.

Went from Madrid to Valencia for the Villareal game last year and the AVE hit 300km/h.

It was so smooth, never even felt like we were moving. Journey took 90 mins. In terms of the trains themselves, they are comfortable with services including a cafeteria, music on individual systems for each passenger (earphones are provided), films screened in each carriage (you will also use the headphones for this).

Been on the old TGV from Nice - Paris years ago and that was good, but the Spanish one is different class. Booked it in advance, cost about €25.
