Thank You Aleks - (Kolarov's goodbye video)

thankyou aleks. hes been a top player player for us for most of his city career. and was a big part of our success. good luck with things at roma! some of our fans were absolutely arseholes with him though, especially in one part of the ground. as others have said some people just feel need to find a boo boy or a player to slag off.
 
For all the stick he's taken (from me as well as others), he was a serviceable left back for a number of years and a great servant to the club. At his peak he was a fantastic threat down that left hand side and scored a fair few worldies for us, and even managed a handful of adequate performances at CB at the beginning of last season. Also seems a great character.

Time for him to move on though for sure. Mendy incoming....
 
Just want to add... I'll never forget the equaliser he scored at home to Sunderland in 2012, we were absolutely shite that day but if it wasn't for that goal we would almost certainly not have had that incredible run in and no Aguerooooo moment either. Thank you, Aleks.
 
Sad to see him go and I wouldn't have sold him - tho I understand why the club has. He was very good last season at CB where his lack of mobility wasn't as exposed. Will miss his crossfield passes.

He was one of the better PL LBs in his first 3 or 4 years here, esp. in attack. Recent years at LB, and particularly in 15/16, make people forget that.

to be a shame. Some fans take criticism of our own players too far, always have done. There always has to be a boo boy.
