Thank You Aleks - (Kolarov's goodbye video)

Liked Kolarov a lot. Tough bugger. He scored some great goals from free kicks and he and Dzeko were made for each other, Alex's superb crosses and Edin heading them in, classic old fashioned football.
All the best in Rome, great place to live so enjoy it.

Thanks Alex, that rocket left red-booted cross to whoever was in the box will always be in my mind. So many time..... will be missed. Good luck in future clubs and life.

The most decorated left back in the history of MCFC

Speak to any of the staff who work behind the scenes, the tv crew, the Kit men, the receptionists, the restaurant staff, the cleaners.........which player would always say hello to you, which player would never ignore you, which player would always have a laugh, which player would always find five minutes to have a chat with you........................they would all say......Alexander Kolarov.

I find it so sad in his farewell video that he acknowledges that for some fans his departure has not come soon enough. He's up there with the best, Barkas, Pardoe,Little and Donachie. Legend.

I'd like to echo these sentiments, and very sad to hear that last sentence, very sad indeed, but keeps up our long tradition of having to have at least one "boo boy", I keep hearing about this "lack of effort getting back against Southampton", for all anyone knows , for that moment he could have been feeling like shite, it happens during games. who knows !

For me personally, I liked the guy, especially when he was the only player to back up George Evans in that pre-season friendly a couple of years ago after a rash tackle, for one reason or another I think the time is now right and I genuinely wish him all the very best.

Cheers Aleks.

Always rated Kolarov. Very sad to see him go, but he took the right decision to leave for what is again a bargain.
Great personality on and off the pitch, even recognised before by Pep. Baffled more than once for the critics he got on here and funnily enough easily copied by mainly the MEN.

It'll be hard to find a LB like him. I will fondly remember his goals, crosses, free kicks, and versatility at playing CB and LM. Just hope Mendy will deliver this and something extra for a new area starts.

Good luck to the man and great to see him in a team with Dzeko again. That picture: Kolarov leaning on Dzeko his shoulders after the latter scored the 6th at the swamp.

For a so called hard man we never saw him take anyone out or protect a team mate

He had his moments both good and bad and was handsomely rewarded for it

I'm not sad to see him leave, but am amazed that he was with us for seven years

To end on a positive, one of his best moments was the goal line tackle vs the rags in the semi at a real crucial moment when we were buckling
If they'd scored, who knows how history would have panned out

Utter nonsense.

As a player very replicable and upgradable, but as a man a big loss to the dressing room.

Loved the video, and what a top player he's been for us. Recieved so much stick and didn't deserve it, some of the fans I've met/heard/read have been down right disgusting. Only at City with the shit fans that's we have can a player that's played season in and out for 7 years, contributing goals, assists and everything in between leave and the first thing out of his mouth is "for some of the fans it's not too soon", so sad.

Wonder who the next boo boy is going to be? Otemendi? Stones? Mendy? Silva? Aguero? Yaya perhaps? Fuck off

Totally agree. We have some complete c*nts who call themselves City supporters.

Thank you Aleks. You will always be fondly remembered. Good luck for your future

Alex as been involved in almost every good memory that I have had involving CITY over the last 7 years.for that reason he will always have a place in my heart C.T.I.D

I'd have not minded Kolarov staying as a CB. He wasn't our worst by any means. But I dreaded him as a LB.

Great guy and I wish him the best. He'll be missed by the other players and staff ... more than the fans. If I was a player I'm not sure that I'd rate the fans' love very high. It's the people you interact with that matter.

I hope the void left by so many outgoings is filled by decent, fun, genuine, hardworking, strong personalities.
