Not true at all! We ALL know what Eddie has done, just life that some cant understand as we are City fans and he isnt.

Many posters have said he is a crap shot stopper and a crap keeper. Both untrue. He was the best gk in the world for what we needed.

Amazing keeper. Not without his problems, including the rush of blood to the head on occasions, but added so much to our style of play with his incredible ability to play out from the back. Used to give the guy who sat a few seats away from me palpitations at times in his first couple of seasons. Doubt we'll see anyone like him again. Wish him and his family all the best in Istanbul.

A proper legend who changed football in the PL with his passing skills. Without peak Eddie there is no treble or four in a row. Of course his form faded as is usual for all players but look how we are struggling at the moment to keep the ball. Good luck to him.

Unbelievable goalkeeper. Transcended how the goalkeeper role was viewed in this country and was the trendsetter for what it’s become.

He’s been a mad bastard. But he’s been our mad bastard and won us shit loads along the way.

That incredible CL run in 22/23 will never be forgotten and neither will his ability to break passing lines and nail the ball 100 yards with pinpoint accuracy.

Love the bloke. It’s been time for him to go probably for about 12 months already but that doesn’t negate the fact he’s in the conversation for our best ever goalkeeper. Probably number 1 for most.

Form has fell off a cliff in the last 2 and a bit seasons but from signing until the CL Final he was immense in what he did.

A massive part of our success here, deserves a nice relaxing end to his career.

One of my favourite players of all time. Doing one twos in midfield with ferna, taking a pen against Madrid, all the assists and generally just being a mad bastard. Fucking love the guy and will be missed
