I doubt he is fully off it.
Quicker than I thought. But it still trumps Dennis's backheel as an example of how to stuff the Rags.Wonderful footballer, it’s been a privilege to watch him over the years.
The winner v Villa and the the volley after 1.5 seconds in the cup final the standouts for me :)

Granted this is probably a bit of a technicality, but it sounds like we’ve agreed a payoff with him which no doubt covers the majority of his final year’s salary in a lump sum - so he probably is off the payroll, even if the net financial hit for City is more or less the same!
Was thinking the same. He was class by the end of the season and far more likely to influence a game than Bernardo. Not having a dig at Bernado as obviously he’s been an amazing player for us too. Another absolutely bizarre decision by the manager to make a player captain though who should be at best a squad player by now. Not quite as bad as letting captain cock out be chosen by the players last season but still kind of typifies where we’re at after another transfer window.Don't really like this, feels forced, I understood getting him out to bring in a foreign right back but this just seems for the sake of it. He would have been useful imo, his experience is priceless and for me if you asked me at the end of last season who I'd have rather kept over him and Bernardo Gundo every time for me.
Hated the stick he got last season being forced to play every week in a position he struggled when he was 26. A true City legend, shame the return didn't go so well.
