Thank You Kyle Walker

I can't see anything in his comment to object to. Plenty of other shit of his I've objected to before, but not this latest thing which is innocuous imho. Some overly sensitive fuckers on here at times.

I hope he moves on soon and makes a good final mark at his next club.

All this bollocks about connecting with the fans. I couldn’t give a tuppeny fuck what a player thinks of the fans / club if said player brings home the gravy. And Kyle did that in abundance.
Redmond Brightwell White etc etc, all “got the club”. Won fuck all. Give me winners all day, every day.

Good god, some absolute fucking babies in this thread.

We've just been giggling at the way Liverpool's fans have acted over Alexander-Arnold's move to Madrid only to turn round and behave in the exact same way a few weeks later.
It is not even close to being in the ‘exact same way’.

They all won the FA Youth Cup in 1986.

I don't have an issue with what he said. It's all hypothetical anyway. His contribution and passion for City can't be questioned. He's been the best RB in the PL era and allowed us to play the way we did consistently.

Having been such a good player and key part of keeping some of the world's top players quiet, imagine being left out of the side for the CL final? You'd be fucking devastated. What did Kyle do? He told the players to go and win it and make his dream come true. He didn't spit his dummy or sit there in silence, he got the team motivated. Hence why he was subsequently made captain.

All he's saying is he'd have loved to have been part of the Spurs squad ending their wait for a trophy. And he'd exchange one of his PL's (because he's got so fucking many) to have been part of their Europa League win.

Don't see the problem with that at all.

An absolutely fabulous player. An absolute tosspot of a character off the field and clearly not the sharpest tool in the box. Should never, ever have been given the Captains armband by anyone.

That about sums Walker up.

Now his pace has gone, and his time at the top table is no more, itll be interesting to see if he tempers his off the field nonsense antics. Id wager not but over to him. I dont really give much of a shit about what he said as its a fantasy scenario that would never come to pass - he can answer it again in 2042 when Spurs next win something.

Never thought much of him during his time at City did you.
Very good player which I have said many times. So no need for that reply really. I don’t like his attitude away from the pitch. That’s also allowed. Although none of our business and who cares, right? But taking shit about giving up cups at city is disrespectful so why should he be given the courtesy if it’s not returned?

I have also stuck up for him many times on here but looks like I was wrong to do so.

I don't like professionals getting pissed in public either. His performances for City have been top class, and his remarks are hardly anti City nor anti fans.
I think some of the reactions are a tad over the top, and on balance his contribution should be applauded.
He played in chronic pain this Season, when our injuries were severe. I realise football fans often don't know or care when players do this, even if it means they will suffer permanent injuries.
Your post in isolation was quite extreme, but apologies if you thought my reply was uncalled for, I just wanted to include the wider story.

I don’t see what the fuss is about. He's not been 'disrespectful' or insulted City, he's just given an honest comment.

He's not and never has been a City fan. He's a Sheffield United fan. He's just an employee who wishes he'd been able to help a former club (employer) to win a trophy.

Have we turned into scousers already?

Already?! That happened a while back where some fans are concerned.

Good for you but is the one he is giving away part of all the ones he would give away to win a trophy with England?

We might not have won anything soon if he keeps on wishing he'd won stuff with other teams rather than us.

The thing is, if he kept two thing shut, his mouth and his zipper, he would be a lot better thought of.

I don't care. It's all hypothetical. He won so many of them, he's saying he would swap one for another experience. Don't have an issue with it at all.
