I actually remember hearing that was exactly the business model when we spent £200m or whatever on the whole campus all those years ago. Now we are so admired across football that anybody who has come through our system is deemed attractive by all other clubs. There's basically a "City Premium" which I remember United having in the 90s and Barcelona more recently. It's like a feedback loop of success from the top of the playing staff to the bottom. It’s bloody amazing mate and there is a conveyor belt where one or two will be deemed good enough for the first team squad and the remainder have been given the best football education money can by and a brilliant chance of a career in football. Those that we let go are comfortably funding multiple first team purchased every season for the foreseeable.
