I’m absolutely delighted with this from Manchester City on the research into the Manchester Corinthians. It’s wonderful they’ve posted this and I’m so pleased. Follow the link to hear about the significance of these remarkable women and the research I’ve been undertaking.

Thanks to City but more importantly thanks to all the women (and some men) who were involved with the club.
 
Fantastic to finally see some recognition for these pioneers of the women's game. My mum's cousin Barbara "babs" Large played for them and then moved on to the Benfica team. I've always wanted to know more about the Corinthians so it's great to see you've been working on this and finally giving the girls the recognition they deserve. Nice one.

And Babs is certainly mentioned and will appear on some photos too. Benfica Ladies was a spin off club and Babs’ mum was one of the key people who set it up. That will all be mentioned in the book.
