Personally speaking I never understood the hatred amongst City fans of that banner. It never really bothered me. However he fact that people still go on about it to this day shows you it achieved its aim: to wind some of us up.

I remember living in Manchester in 2001 and on the 25th year anniversary of the 1976 League Cup win a bunch of United fans went on a little campaign, hanging banners on motorway bridges saying "25 years" etc. I seem to remember they smuggled one into our ground.

That's what City fans should be doing IMO: small "guerilla" type acts to wind them up. Cover the bridges down to the motorways with "M6 This Way" banners whilst they play. 10 years since Aguero's winner is coming up soon because that is basically ten years of City domination. That would be another chance.

They were doing this sort of shit for years and revenge is best served cold, and in an original way.

Then it suddenly hit me.

The Rags are fast approaching a 10 Year anniversary,of not winning the Title.
