The referee evened things up in the end...
If you want to look for a reason why our goals difference is not better, then look at the boots of some of our players... they look like they've got them on the wrong feet at times!
Especially that scamp SWP...

It was clear that there was contact between Kompany's hand and the ball, but that doesn't mean it was 'handball'. The rules state that it has to be deliberate, which it clearly wasn't - it was hit hard at him from about 2 yards away and he wasn't even looking at the ball when it hit him.
It's irrelevant whether this kind of thing is sometimes given - that doesn't make it a penalty, that makes the other decisions wrong as well.

I can't chill! We never seem to get the decisions for us so it just pisses me off when I see the amount that go against us.
People tend to only remember the decisions that went against them!

Anyone remember Joe Kinnear, can't remember who he managed at the time, walking off the pitch on the far side from the camera, sticking three fingers into his pocket. His team had just pilfered all the points from a team that had battered them.
Not quite the same today, but we got the three points and at this stage of the season, it is all that matters. Spuds could easily have let their 2-1 slip but didn't and there's nothing better than someone breathing down yer neck to stiffen the sinews. More of the same, but preferably with a little more breathing space before the dodgy pen arrives.

Haven't seen either but Fred Eyre on GMR said both were nailed on penalties. But then, he's the most negative, miserable blue I've ever heard. Worse than most on here, even

I can't stand him as a broadcaster. Never, ever has anything positive to say and seems to revel in picking on individuals. I keep harping on about the fact that the FA want Liverpool in the Champs League due to them being more marketable than us, Spuds or Villa due to them having more global fans. BUT the ref waved away their nailed on pen later on so that theory is obviously wrong!

The man needs to sack it now. He must be the only blue on the planet who thinks that was a penalty......As a last resort I listen to the radio and if I do it's Hinchy on 1152.
