This. 34 years! - Although, I'm only 22, so only 22 for me :)

It'll be 35 years on the 28th February.

I started supporting City the season after that, so you have me at a
disadvantage.

We had a great side in those days - packed with internationals and profoundly entertaining.

I know. That's part of the reason why I started supporting us ;)

We'll never know but if Colin Bell hadn't been injured against the scum, I've often wondered whether we would have won the league in '77.

It will be music to my ears when we can sing

You can stick your fucking banner up your arse.

However I believe the rags will simply add a number for trophies and just keep the years rolling so if we win Europa League it will be 1 trophy in 35 years.

Can't understand why some people don't like the banner. To me, it's a rolling tribute to the unerring loyalty of our fans. I'm hoping they'll leave it up, frozen at the point in time when we win something as a permanent reminder to the tourists of what they will never be but could have been like if only they weren't glory-hunting, jonny-come-lately, no-marks.

Yeah and that sums them up perfectly.

I went to school in Hale Barns (St Ambrose College) and I always hated their arrogant attitude.

-- Sat Feb 19, 2011 6:44 pm --

Yeah thats my attitude.

I love the banner! 34 years, of nowt, zilch, zero, fuck all, relegations, 24 managerial changes, swales out, franny in, franny out, exiled dictators, i could go on all night, and guess what? WE'RE STILL HERE! We constantly outsing 70 odd thousand, at the 'theatre of tourists' who i guarantee would be at COMS, the emirates or stamford bridge, if they had gone trophyless since 1976!

And they say we are obsessed!
