Down that London at weekend for our yearly trip.
Been countless times and love the place but this year struggling for something to do that we havent already done!

Saturday we are at the theatre but need something for sunday morning

Done all the usual , tower, eye, boat trips, bus trips, shard, museums, a million times and want something new for the two of us and 2 kids (10 and 7)

Go….!

Get Boris bikes and cycle round Hyde park, can hire a boat out to row in Serpentine, stop at few cafes for rest, walk part of it, feed the birds. There's a playground for kids, venture into Kensington palace gardens. If going to Camden, go to Little Venice and get boat along canals from there to Camden. Madam Tussauds, London dungeon

Parkland Walk in North London is quite good for being out n about whilst at the same time avoiding all the traffic chaos or getting knocked over by a bod on a scooter or Santander bike etc ...take in the views seen from the top of Alexandra Palace.

Kew Gardens if you really wanna make a day of it.

East - West/ West - East on the canal path walkways.

Portobello Market

Brick Lane

Greenwich park is very nice.
Richmond/Kingston area is good for a pascal chimbonda if you’re feeling energised.

London Bridge/borough market.
South bank.

Would the bin lids enjoy it ?
Don’t know mate, they’re your kids ;)
It’s a pretty cool place to spend a few hours, there’s quite a bit to see and there’s decent food available. It does have a touristy feel now but there’s still some great spots .
It’s not too far either from St Pancras and the hotel which features in Harry Potter . They might recognise that and there’s a great Sunday Lunch available in the bar there .
We used to love going in the Gilbert Scott cocktail bar but they’ve closed it now and reopened it as something else . I’d expect it to be equally as good .

A bit further out but the Harry Potter place is excellent, your kids look old enough to appreciate it
