... got 16 years today for his attempted assassination of Martin McGuinness and Gerry Adams at Stormont. Fair enough, he was carrying an imitation gun, three knives, a hatchet and a garrotte. He also had a bag which contained explosive fireworks, flammable liquids, a butane gas canister and fuses as well as 7 nail bombs. Luckily none of them exploded.

The one funny thing though was his plea of not guilty, "it was cutting edge performance art, not an assassination attempt."
Pure genius.
