The pitch at Sunderland was a dangerous disgrace. Are there any standards set by the premier league? They should be fined for hosting a top flight game on a surface like that.

Clearly did it to strengthen their own game (Jones) and subsequently hinder ours. It backfired on them once he got injured and Roque came on, and with that we took advantage and arse-holed them for the second 45.

Disgraceful as it is, Tottenham went to Wigan the other week with Kranjcar, Defoe and Huddlestone et al all playing and managed to win 3-0, and by now, we SHOULD have the quality and strength in depth to overcome such things.

you didn't see the king complaining when he was going on one of his runs ( not that i was alive to see it lol).

but yeah that pitch did stop us playing football.

It had grass on it, and it was the same for both sides remember back in the 70s having to go to the baseball ground in winter just flattended mud. No excuses.

Why are we blaming the pitch? These are proffesional footballers who should be able to adapt whatever the conditions. Yes it wasn't the best but come on.

Agree with the post about Spurs going to wigan, who do play rugby on it as well, managed to pass it well enough.

We didnt win because again away from home we were on back foot from the start, as soon as we learn to take the game to them we will win these games

It wasn't great but they should still be able to play on it. A few of ours seemed to slip but they might have needed different studs.
