That there London

i'm amazed when i hear people say they got a pint for under a fiver as if it's a bargain!

ALWAYS start the conversation before a transaction with these words "How much is it?" if you're the type of person who doesn't want to offend someone who is ripping you off get your hands in your pockets and pay up without moaning.

I suspect like me you're not having it :)

I let them pour it then if i dont agree with the price i tell them to keep it. It feels like a win for the little guy then hahaha

I got on a ferry once with my brother in law (Maybe 13 years ago) and I got my breakfast which was about 7 Euros, he was charged 25 Euros and he accepted it.

Took it back to the hatch and after a bit of a slinging match they thieving bastards gave him the excess back.

I will not visit places that sell overpriced shit, just say no.

I think the prices between London and comparable places in Manchester have narrowed to the point where they’re almost indistinguishable now.

I’ve been in touristy areas in London this season and actually been surprised how ‘cheap’ it was, compared to places in the NQ and Spinningfields etc.

I can't wait until the smelly bohemian buggers that frequent the Northern Quarter rename it into something slightly less pretentious :)

£360,00 for 2 Travel Lodge rooms in Harrow at the last minute before the FA Cup Final because my mate was scammed for an apartment he paid for a mouth earlier on Booking.com £360!

To be fair, it’s not just the NQ. It’s pretty much anywhere in town that isn’t The Millstone, The Unicorn, A Wetherspoons and maybe six or seven more that I can’t be arsed naming.

There was one there that was £25 a pint on Saturday. However, it was about 12.5% so you definitely wouldn't want more than a third of that.
The beer on hand pumps was all a reasonable price though, from what I can remember!
£25 for a pint fecking hell!! It’s going the same as cigarettes! No fecker will be drinking at this rate.

Which might not be a bad thing health wise but people need to go out occasionally ffs and socialise, that’ll be worse for mental health taking that away. No doubt it’s £7 for a fresh orange juice in the same place. We’ll all be fecking hermits!!

Sounds ridiculous but at 12.5% you’re getting up towards spirits kind of levels of volume. Drinks that strong aren’t intended to be drank by the pint.

You wouldn’t pay £7 for a whiskey and then start working out how much that would equate to if you’d bought a pint of it.

The Waldorf wasn’t too bad for beer pre-West Ham. Prices aside, I used Clayton for the Cup Final.

Online banking says Liverpoo was £5.80 for premium lager the other week.
