Can he just shut up about what a thrill it will be to walk out at the swamp, how he still loves the club and the fans, that Taggart is like a father to him, etc, etc. He may as well say he wants united to win.

I hope he doesn't get picked.

Or better still, carried off on two stretchers after 5 minutes.

Re: That twat Beckham

Most over rated player of his generation, sold his soul for the almighty dollar to play in a league worse than the championship. Doesn't deserve to play for a club as prestigious as Milan and they may as well have had 10 men when they played the first leg against the rags, he was invisible. Hope he doesn't even get on the pitch tonight and Milan win without him.

Say tonights game finishes 3-2 to AC and goes to penalties. Team Beckham came on as a sub and volunteers to take AC's last penalty which will decide who goes through. He wouldn't be allowed back in Italy alive.

The guy is the best example along with Jordan (Katie Price not Joe) of why this country is going to hell in a hand cart. Yes he can cross a ball but he can't head, tackle, use his left foot and has no pace, never did have either. Talentless yet hordes of people worship him, the media might as well all sleep with him and he has earnt a fortune from being useless. If that free kick (and it should never have been awarded) against Greece had missed would most people be fornicating all over him? Answer = NO. Why oh why does this country not recognise genuine talent in all walks off life and spend as much time praising those people as they do this think twat and his stick like wife who is equally as dumb.

Hope he scores to make it 2-0 in the 93rd minute and he picks up an injury scoring the goal

Bet he doesn't even play, if he scores a free kick though to put Milan through in the 96th minute i will gladly accept him as my hero.

Oops!

And to be honest, the rest of your post looks pretty much like blue tinted bullshit too! Whatever his allegiances, he's undeniably one of the top players of his generation, and whether or not you think he's on a par with Zidane & Figo et al, he's certainly far from being shit & talentless.

I for one choose these days to try to ignore his past at The Swamp & merely concentrate on his service as captain of England, for whom nobody can deny he has always given his all (often singlehandedly it seems)!

So annoying as his PR machine (and his wife) may be, I'm afraid we're all going to have to accept that David Beckham will be regarded as a footballing legend for many years to come (arguably, deservedly so)!

A great player, hope he does the business tonight.
Squeaky voiced essex rag twat.

This is true.

However, his performance against Greece in 2001 still sticks in my head as one of the most impressive performances I've ever seen by any player over the course of 90 minutes. He was absolutely immense that day, particularly considering how dire the rest of the team was.

But yeah, he's still a twat (and I can't remember too many other great games he had, but many crap ones).

leonardo got caught up in all the hype in the 1st leg & felt forced to start beckham. beckham was invisible in the 1st leg... in reality he's been living off his name for the last 4 years.
never quite understood the fascination with him to be honest. he's a good player who's been on great teams, he was never the best player on any team he's been @. but then again i don't think he forced the media to have a circle jerk around him. the whole media fascination with him has polarized him in my opinion, you either love him or hate him.

all i know is he better not start today. especially since AC need at least a couple road goals, pato or seedorf or huntelaar better start for AC to even have a chance.
