Great Politician and it cant be denied - feck Me even Ken Livingston is saying that before they cut him short for slagging her off

She did drag us in to the modern world but right royally fucked some things up as well. (Never understood why people disagreed with the poll tax - ie everybody paid a bit not just the house owner).

tbh I despise Gordan Brown more.

However for me her attitude to Football (the national game) and fans has allowed us all regardless of status to be treated at best second class citizens and often like animals for decades. I dont for one minute believe she didnt know or condone the cover up at Hilsborough.

But FFS everyone on sky are talking about her like she was Mother Theresa.

A minutes silence would be funny though. - We would of course be called a bunch of disrespectful twats and Utd would come out smelling of roses.

Watching Sky UK here in Aus and it is fucking sickening.

With regard to buying council houses, the original proposition came from the Labour party around the early sixties, I think, and was included in its' manifesto. My father bought his in 1970, as did quite a few others.
Fucking labour, advocating selling social housing stock, who'd have thought it.

Easy solution. Huge Capital gains tax / inheritance tax on people selling bought council houses. All money to go to house building - Simples

Didn't like Thatcher at all and while not glad she's gone Britain would have been better if she'd never existed.

Fair point, but many on here say it was Thatcher alone who ordered this; she did enshrine the right in law but it was labours idea originally.

Her selling of council houses is not particularly one thing I'm that critical of her of anyway, but had she built the council houses to replace the ones she sold, not only would I not be in the least critical, I would praise that, so no in answer to your question. Anyway, I would thank you not to mistake me with a Labour supporter. I am not one.
