in an ideal world I'd say 100 posts and the first few threads created by the user being pre-moderated but the mods have enough on their plate already so I think it's fine.

I would say 100 is a bit much tbh, 1000 would make me permanently invisible. I don't post much prob because their is a guy out there representing my views in topics, I understand if we all took this attitude the forum would be bland, however I digress.
The other day I wanted to make a thread seeking opinions on a very touchy subject to me. I was pretty annoyed when I couldn't because I wasn't part of the 100 club, I have only been a member for what three years or so and a lurker for well ever.
Maybe if length of time as member as well as post count could work no?
Anyway Mods do a good job.
