the 10th of August

so if my research is correct, I believe the only first teamers at Carrington this week are Stu Taylor, SWP, Pantilimon (if work permit got sorted), Clichy, Zaba, Aguero, and Tevez.

Terrible timing, can only imagine what's coming:

Premier League Fixture Sunday
Champions League Fixture Tuesday
International Fixture Thursday
Cup Fixture Saturday

rinse&repeat

i've heard England v Netherlands is off, can anyone confirm?

I've just read that too on Twitter by someone who is normally reliable with football info. He said it's because of the riots.

how inconvenient of an international fixture is this? Only a few days after the Community Shield and in the week leading up to our first league game. Guess maybe it is sort of a blessing that our game is a Monday night then.

Yaya will be back in Africa for a game against Israel in Côte d'Ivoire
Silva and maybe Mario in Italy for Italy v Spain
Aguero and Tevez in Bucharest for Romania v Argentina
Kompany in Slovenia for Slovenia v Belgium
Hart, NDJ, Milner, Barry, Lescott, AJ at Wembley England vs Netherlands
Dzeko in Bosnia
Kolarov in Moscow for Russia v Serbia
Savic in Albania

Bloody hell that's a lot of key players who are gunna be knackered against Swansea :S

England game will be called off so thats Hart, Lesc, AJ, Milner, Barry, Richards and De Jong back.

Argie arent playing so Tev, Aguero and Zaba back.

Silva not likely to start because of breakthrough of Thiago? as for Balotelli he can stay there until he decides that he actually wants to be a part of the team more than just 1/3 of the season.

Gael Clichy has been called up for the France match against Chile because, surprise surprise, Evra withdrew.
