Yes,CL. Wasn't really thinking about that though just that those registered or o U21 might play more and get more minutes than those registered in previous years.

I guess it could end up with some players being able to play in the PL but not registered for European competition.

Looking at this based on the players we're linked with (obviously very optimistic list in terms of the midfield signings) it's pretty obvious that it can only work if we sell one or both of Stones/Ake and all of the uncs in midfield. Even then we'd still need to buy 1 more HG player in addition to MGW, 2 if we sell both HG centre backs.

I'm surprised we've only seen links to Livramento in that case because we really need more HG for the quota. Replacing Ortega with a HG backup seems like a no brainer.

We’d still be over the limit on foreign players in your squad. I’d guess Nunes will go if we get a right back. Can’t see all of Bernardo, Gundogan and Kovacic going but stranger things have happened.
 
I love the number of players we’re being strongly linked with
Suggest to me we ain’t fucking around this summer.
We are being aggressive and going for players and backups

I suggested something similar in January, particularly for those players that cannot be shifted and for whom two games in 3-4 days is unsustainable. For example Stones, Ake, and Gundogan could be used solely domestically, which would allow rest for younger players. Not sure how feasible that is or whether Guardiola would want that situation.
 
Out of interest - is there no alternative to Wirtz in the transfer market -
I hear Simmons and Cherki but Simmons is more of a ball carrying technical player - doesn’t have that quick decisive defence splitting pass like KDB or Wirtz
Cherki - Rayan has been bookmarked to be a wonder kid last 3-4 years but attitude and work rate means he is still languishing in Lyon

There can’t be another KDB but is there a similar player in the ilk of rat face Bruno Fernandes with a better attitude that we can target!

The problem with Simmons is that he has been hyped since he was little so he thinks that he should be an absolute starter everywhere hence why he didn’t join psg back and left for PSV and Leipzig. He wants to be the absolute #1

Tbf, being the best player at Lyon, a historical club in the top division of one of europes top 5 leagues at 21 ain’t bad.

He will have to go this summer as well I think and probably for cheap, cos I think they’re gonna be relegated for financial breaches.

Some team is going to get a bargain.

Then I think they’ll be a couple surprising outgoings, the reports we’ve had last week or so have said we’d be happy to find Gundogan a new club. Wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.

My hunch is that Bernardo is already gone too.

If we were to lose both goalkeepers and replace one with an English player or youth product, that would help matters

I think with none homegrown players we are at 1 in 1 out situation.
 
Ive got 5 in, and 6 out on my latest draft. (I've lost all the uncs)

Reis and Echeverri still unregistered in the CL and numbers are fine. 25 man squad :)
