Probably been posted somewhere already, but its ten to 8 and im knackered at work, so...
What did people think of the "suprise" at 7.30? I can see how it might get kids a bit excited "oooohh, its dark!", it might look good for the cameras but wasnt it a bit like something off gladiators? Expected John Anderson to be reffing!
After some posts on here "confirming" that the Sheikh was gonna be there, i was really looking forward to it..then it just turned out to be a bit of power failure!
Oh, yeah, 3-0, get in city!!!
 
A decent concept, but messed up a bit when the blue moon over the PA stopped the blue moon the crowd had alerady got going.

Agree with you about the singing, but on tv it looked the dogs nads. Wish they would do this at more games.

Also, i wish they'd get a band to do a decent cover of Bluemoon. The up tempo one has had its time.

You mean like the one Doves recorded last year? Why don't they play that?

Hmmmm probably agree with you. Though slightly less cringeworthy than the one they play at

I havent seen this on the TV yet, hopefully a youtube will pop up.

Problem with this is its only useful on night games. Chelsea will be ok for it :)
 
I cacked myself it was a power failure at first and then the blue moon came up. i thought it was great. By I like that sort of stuff!

Dont get me wrong, i enjoyed it. Just dont want it to spiral out of control, having the players breaking through paper at the beginning like american football and stuff!

Mel Torme or Ella Fitzgerald, but only because Johnny Cash didn't cover it, I think!

I thought it was pretty good for getting the atmosphere going. However a rousing chorus of Blue Moon started to spread round the ground, only to be drowned out by Shawoddywoddy.
