The After Party at CO-OP LIVE

They are shithouses, easy option taking cowards, it’s all about being part of a pack and ‘ belonging’, giving it the big one, strutting about and basking in reflected glory. Complete gobshites like their mates down the East Lancs, two cheeks of the same arse.
That sort are shithouses, there’ll only ever do it at families, the youth cup final there were 900 of the cunts all the same, horrible nasty snide family abusing pricks

The event lasted too long yet just the right amount of content. Nothing felt out of place and it celebrated players and Pep leaving, showcased our Youth and Women's team, whilst giving a platform to coaches, backroom staff and can opportunity for our fans to cheer and see the spectacle.

Lining trophies up interwoven amongst club legends past, present, Pep's family and playing out to a backdrop of local musical brothers and their banging tunes sent the energy higher than any forced chant.

Now, what's the name of my new favourite Catalan band? Manel? Must add that song to my Pep era list. It's been a blast.

Hopefully not. As much as the co op was decent, The town hall is tradition and also free for everyone to attend usually.

They’ve done a good job of re pedestrianising Albert Square even though the town hall renovations have over ran and got more expensive. Last time City paraded a trophy in front of the town hall was 2014 from what I a remember. Everything else after that was Deansgate.

If you think what they made selling tickets at £15 and then the food and drink on top of that it’s a nice little non match day earner for the club. They won’t want establishments in the middle of the city centre having that money when City can.

Their song was good, I thought. I enjoyed Doves too. Thought overall it was a well done event. Like a few others, I was convinced Noel would perform. Bit of a disappointment that he didn't to be honest, considering they were using his song throughout. The busses entering the arena was good.

I'm just glad they didn't bring out all the individual trophies as well, the golden boots, the golden gloves, ballon d'or, pfa player of the year etc.. otherwise it would have gone on all night.

When they brought out the first trophy individually, and I saw the length of that line on stage I thought, we'll be here a while.

Whatba good idea though, to show the sheer scale of the achievement, and to do it in order reminding us of the azing key moments involved.

What a decade!

I'll put my tuppence worth in!

Was a bit concerned about the event. Did we need another one after the emotional farewell of Sunday? Would the fans be a bit flat? So, I went pretty much for my boys. At 12 and 6 they are both too young to know anything other than Pep (or to be moaning gets yet, so they'd be pleased with anything!) and thought it would be really memorable for them.

I needn't have worried though - the event was unbelievable. I'm a Doves fan, and I miss Jimi a lot - but they did a decent job (what happened to Blossoms by the way or did they play dead early?!).

As Sam Lee said in his (really good) piece - the tone was perfect. Upbeat, playful and joyous after the slight melancholy of Sunday. Lots of families there (including mine, so not a criticism!) so was a bit worried about the atmosphere - but the fans were absolutely on it which made such a difference.

The U18s had the time of their lives! The buses coming into the arena - chapeau! The Bunny announcement Vinnie and Jack turning up were great surprises. The trophies being brought in one by one made everyone realise the enormity of what was achieved over the past decade.

My one potential gripe, did we get it wrong not leaving Pep til last, was soon put aside - made complete sense for the focus then to be about the new team and getting behind them (Erling's fighting words really important - telling new players they need to understand the standards, cups are no longer enough here).

10/10 (would have loved David here too, but we can't force him!). The organising team and presenters should take huge credit. The perfect full stop to a decade without parallel for us blues.

Anyone know how many people there would have been there last night? The place looked full, sold out.

Pretty much sold out there was 458 places in standing area when I checked mid afternoon Probably some hospitality available and a few of the boxes were unoccupied probably owned by rags

Anyone on here old enough to remember a similar event that took place at the kings hall at belle vue would have been around 1978/79 . All the players and staff were there ? There was a band on and had made a city song especially for the event

Funnily enough I was just knocking some stuff together before I seen your post.
I remember Daltrey and Townshend saying we should lobby the Manchester council to build a bigger venue for concerts etc.

On November 1 and 2, 1973, The Who played two massive back-to-back shows at the 5,000-seat King's Hall. Tickets were in high demand for this stop, which was the largest capacity venue on their entire tour. Notably, the second show took place the day before the official release of their seminal concept album, Quadrophenia.Drummer Keith Moon was already familiar with the grounds, having played at Belle Vue earlier that year as part of a fictitious band called The Stray Cats while filming the David Essex movie Stardust.

I was viewing just slightly behind the side of Moon who was partially obstructed by a stanchion, all you could see were his drumsticks going 100 mph.

Anyhow, 50 years later.
