The After Party at CO-OP LIVE

An interesting aspect of the parade / party was the prominence of City Women. Some people in football will conveniently ignore this.
Each to their own but I must be honest , I have no interest in women's football whatsoever but they seem to have managed to turn it into a money spinner these days.

Some pics from last night

Was torn between the parade or the arena
Chose to head to the city about 1pm.

Soaked up the rays and the atmosphere with a few cheeky beers in shambles square.

Decided to walk down the canal to the arena. Tram would have been a sweat box!!

Arrived at the arena about 4.45pm

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Even the rag GF came along.

If, as will eventually be inevitable at some (hopefully) distant point in the future, United win a trophy, they will probably ape our sensational coop gig, by using the AO to do similar. It’ll be another ‘welcome to Manchester’ copy.
Unfortunately the rags have already got the T shirts from doing it at the MEN arena after they won the treble in 98/99

They can stay where they belong and do it in Stretford Public Hall.

Can they not use the Lowry? Why would they hold it in a completely different city ;)

10 years of achievements - an assist record, selling out the away end at a Yoof cup final and a two star food hygiene rating

we dont need to worry about united - from
a footballing point of view they still fail to control games to have consistency, their far and away best player is 32yo, their defensive recruitment is shite and they still cant keep players fit at their dilapidated training ground.

the vibes are bad over there - a club split in two between the staff who've been there a long tome and their new faces who are all Ineos boys.

the new stadium is already turning into a nightmare of planning and then they’ve got to go through 5+ years of funding it and playing in a building site. the world economic picture and cost of debt is already hurting them massively, their debt keeps ballooning and their owners are all in their 60s, Jim is nearly 80, and I just dont see them investing. they want a return and will sell again once the expanded media rights & rise in value they were hoping for doesnt materialise.

we left a whole bunch of FA cups on the table for starters. resting players in semis and losing two finals

But if we did win more and that Champions League final vs Chelsea, Pep would have been off 3 seasons ago after the treble
