Haha, fucking hell, Always Waining again. Jesus. Talk about a course specialist. Unbackable anywhere but Aintree.
Yeah, here's what a tipster I follow said about it today.
It's the eve of the Grand National and that means the Topham Chase and Always Waining are back. Peter Bowen's horse has been hugely profitable for me over the last two years having selected him at 40/1 and 16/1. He's back for another crack at it but I am a bit more cautious this time around. Last year Peter Bowen was very very keen to get into the National and missed the cut by just one. Even after the race he still sounded disappointed that he didn't make it in. This year he had his chance but didn't take it. It may well be down to the softer ground or it may well be that confidence is not as high as last year. I wasn't a bit impressed with his hurdle outing at Bangor 20 days ago. Of course it was a prep but he came under pressure and faded earlier that I would have expected. That being said, he ran similarly in his prep run in 2010 but he was younger then. I'm sure he will come to light at Aintree once again but I feel age might just catch up with him.
If things don't go to plan I will be more than happy to cheer on Always Waining. He has won me more money than any other racehorse so I will have a small saver on him to recover funds should he triumph again.
