No, just the 1st one. That's the one I really wanted. Would be great to do all 3 in a row and all, but unfeasible. Wonder if there are any hardcore that have commited to all 3.

The album after this one ( figure 8) was the one that brought him to my recognition. I remember one of the tracks was on a soundtrack of a film I'd watched. Lyrically quite dark at times but could craft a tune for sure. Sadly took his own life and appeared a history of sexual abuse towards him as a child. Will give this particular album a listen

It was never clear that he took his own life Shack, indeed the autopsy couldn’t determine whether the stab wounds were self-inflicted. There’s further reading here if you’re interested:

I figured I remembered Elliott from the "one word song title" Playlist as I looked up his backstory, and sure enough, I now see you even had nominated.

I'm looking forward to hearing the whole album from the song I very much enjoyed:
  • “Pitseleh” – Elliott Smith, great slow mood acoustic guitar track from an artist I need to explore more from. Sad backstory, but some great songs during his career.

With my use of Spotify and finally having a car that has Apple Play, the chance of me playing CDs again is remote. Maybe in retirement I might treat myself to a CD player but even then I reckon I'd still be mostly streaming.

However, I think I'd always keep my top 20 or 30 (or 40 or 50 etc) CDs just for old time's sake and the chance to read the liner notes at some point again in the future.
