Think so yeah, haven't thought about it in detail that far ahead tbh. Could offer both a stick or twist choice and respect whoever is more set to theirs. Or could just pick one myself ;). Cross that bridge if we get to it.

Yeah, it is your top 5 finds, rather than the top five albums you gave the highest scores to. I have a similar one myself, that I had never heard of, gave a 5 or maybe even a 4 to at the time, but have since come to really like as a band.

There is less engagement over the Christmas period and I always think that nominators miss out as a result. That’s why for the last few years we have built in a break.

The provisional plan has the last nomination running 11th to 18th December with the next album on 8th January. What does everybody think - is this OK or too long a break? We do have plenty of other threads running though :)

If I put FR at No 1 is there a deal to be had around favourable scheduling of future picks? Obviously I wouldn't ask if Rob was running this bit as he strikes me as incorruptible.

The idea is to nominate things that were new to you or favourite discoveries as a result of this thread. I struggle to see how your own would fit that.

Edit. I think I may have been too simplistic with it maybe. Thought pick your top 5 new discovery albums, pick a favourite song from them to put on the playlist.

But maybe that should be expanded for the songs only, if people think it will make a richer/better playlist.

If people really have a song in mind that doesn't strictly fit the above, why don't we broaden it to cover other songs that haven't featured in your top 5 finds, by a band discovered as a result of this thread.

Basically, anything new to you coming via this thread is fair game, if you think it is for the good of the playlist. Including obviously the more straightforward songs of one of the albums someone picks out.

What are you trying to say here ;).

Would maybe consider negotiating on others, but when it comes to FR it has to be genuine or it has no meaning.
