After declaring my love for their first offering I had high hopes for this second release. I own it on vinyl so obviously it must be good. Right?
Wrong.
Let's Go starts the whole thing on the right foot, a lovely tune, Since I held You is also rather nice, a good mix of guitar and harmony blending well. It's All I Can Do is also pleasing. A nice catchy chorus. And then...it all goes to pot. The keyboards sound like they have been shoehorned in, to every song. The B side is especially grating. Poor lyrics, songs sounding the same...it's annoying. Take Dangerous Type. Starts off nicely and then...some weird Casio vl tone kicks in and completely ruins the whole song. Lust for Kicks is the same.
The first album shows how using keyboards can be integrated into a song. The second album shows how not to do it.
Score?
4/10 just for the first three songs. The rest are fillers of the worst kind.
