The Album Review Club - End of Round #9 Break (page 1904)

Found this interesting -- here are the decades we've covered so far (with 1980 counting as the 80s, not the end of the 70s, for the math(s) nerds):

Pre 60s 2
60s 2
70s 10
80s 5
90s 10
00s 4
10s 10
20s 0

The "odd" decades getting a lot of love; we need some more "even" ones to balance this out!

I think their latest album is pretty strong. A couple before that, a bit not so much. Their first is worth a listen, although might be too nirvana for you. Only Revolutions is the most successful and polished.

You mentioned liking bubbles, here is a wee side challenge. Without looking it up, can you tell who the guest guitar is on it. Quite distinctive imo, particularlynat the end. One who collaborated with Grohl, if it gives you a hint.
Oooooo. I was going to guess Bob Mould first, but it doesn't sound like him. Then the guy from My Bloody Valentine (though I don't know that he collaborated with Grohl). The guy from Afghan Wigs?

Edit: I looked it up. I don't know them that well or his stuff in particular so wouldn't have guessed.

Right, apologies for not scoring Biffy Clyro, stupidly busy and run out of time!
Coatigan.....im' with you on Foo's, love rock, but bar 2 songs, they bore me senseless;)

So for this week, I'm a technophobe, and haven't time for trying to work out how to do pics lol, so clues are (maybe easy for most).......

Parramatta.
How some may describe young Erling.

Really? You should check out the songs for the deaf album, in my opinion, Grohl at his best (he is the drummer on that particular album), I'd go as far as, better than even with nirvana

That is very odd. I’d have expected more from the 80s by now.

I’m in a right spin as to what to pick next but maybe this will help!
if that is right ive just destroyed rob's record
My initial reaction was it’s got to be an Aussie band ..... then I googled Parramatta and I’m 90% convinced you are correct.
