Proving my underlying point about these threads, the only one of those I'd even heard of was Bedouin Soundclash.

Just had a listen to Wovenhand's Consider The Birds in the car and I'll be listening to it properly. Musically it would do well on here but thematically would be carnage.

It's Mosaic I listen to mostly. It's the atmosphere I like

Me too.
Nothing wrong with the rhythms, but I think for this kind of trad stuff, you really need to understand the lyrics or it just gets boring.
It like if I put on some trad Irish rebel or historical stuff in Gaelic. You wouldn’t have a clue what they’re singing about and you’d most likely lose interest.
Well I find myself losing interest and this is competing with other music threads, which doesn’t help it.

Was always going to be the risk with a pick like this.

As for @bennyboy I'm assuming as a Cocteau Twins fan it's not the incomprehensibility he's struggling with?!

Plenty of Gaelic stuff I love, despite having no interest in what they nsr or may not be saying. Tend to see it simply as another instrument.

There’s plenty of Gaelic stuff can be monotonous too.
I generally love the unique instruments.
The same can be said for some of this stuff.

One thing about, it tends to stick with you, long after you have turned it off. Not in can't stop thinking about it all day kind of way, but on a more basic level, as a 'groove'. The simplistic melody, repeating rhythm and gibberish somewhat monotonous singing. I find myself stuck in that gentle nod, and go about my day at that pace, for a fair while after hearing it. And even when it wears off, it can creep back in out of norwhere announced and just comes back into your head. Gives the term 'hypnotic' meaning.

Voice preferences are weird things, plenty of folk I can't listen to but I'm good with this and the likes of Laughing Len etc.

Have wondered in the past what LF would sound like over this, whether she'd be too refined for it and whether she'd be able to get right down into the groove etc.
