More of a Korma (Police) kinda guyDon't know about you guys, but man I could murder a cheeky wee lamb shawarma right now!
Haha it has a little in common with some stuff I listen to a little bit. The drone is very reminiscent of Wovenhand. Although it's a different language and he's a different vocalist some of it reminds me of Aradhna in the phrasing. And we used to have Eritreans meet at our church so I'm familiar with the idea that a song may just stay the same and refuse to end. They are all rather niche references but if you heard Lwam play the keyboard you'd understand what I mean (although the Eritrean music Ive heard is a little faster). And the guitar tone is kind of similar to Bedouin Soundclash (even though they are Canadian).
There’s more than a few songs like that on the Rock Evolution thread at the moment.so I'm familiar with the idea that a song may just stay the same and refuse to end.
It's Mosaic I listen to mostly. It's the atmosphere I likeProving my underlying point about these threads, the only one of those I'd even heard of was Bedouin Soundclash.
Just had a listen to Wovenhand's Consider The Birds in the car and I'll be listening to it properly. Musically it would do well on here but thematically would be carnage.
Struggling big time with the voice.
Me too.
Nothing wrong with the rhythms, but I think for this kind of trad stuff, you really need to understand the lyrics or it just gets boring.
It like if I put on some trad Irish rebel or historical stuff in Gaelic. You wouldn’t have a clue what they’re singing about and you’d most likely lose interest.
Well I find myself losing interest and this is competing with other music threads, which doesn’t help it.
Plenty of Gaelic stuff I love, despite having no interest in what they nsr or may not be saying. Tend to see it simply as another instrument.Me too.

Tagine party music.Well, it's different, I'll give it that.
No it is the voice. If he sounded like Liz this would have been a high score. Was always going to be the risk with a pick like this.
As for @bennyboy I'm assuming as a Cocteau Twins fan it's not the incomprehensibility he's struggling with?!
Thought it was worth just this one time dropping this on to give some visual context to the first song on the album.
