The Amazing Line Of Duty starts again tonight

It’s bloody awful, I just don’t get the hype.

The two male leads can’t act worth a damn, the script is extremely cheesy and so clunky and yet everyone is going on like it’s something deep and profound.

Go watch The Shield, which was a classic cop drama with good acting and scripts.

Or NYPD Blue or Southland - The Yanks do Cop shows miles better.

The Yanks do not do Cop Drama better at all, they can be formulaic, car chase, guns, car chase, guns. car chase, although I enjoyed The Closer and Major crimes, Unabomber was very good and Mindhunter was fantastic.

If you want to watch a really brilliant American cop show, then watch Banshee, that is just magnificent.

Mindhunter was excellent (David Fincher so no surprise really).

Unabomber....I'm not sure if I watched it too close to Mindhunter and being a similar concept and lower budget but it hasn't gripped me. I've had a break from it (perhaps a whole year) so will give it a go.
The fake beard Paul Bettany wears is a bit off too.

In fairness saying it's the best since Luther is not a compliment. Another vastly over rated show that turned to utter nonsense towards the end.
