I agree. I went to school in Trafford in the 90's, I can take anything they throw at me. Whenever they've ever given me shit I don't bite to it I just look them square in the eye, sometimes I'll laugh at them and shake my head. It's got to the point where any Rags I know never bother trying to wind me up, they never talk footy with me at all. I think they know that I think their existence of constantly thinking, talking, singing and bitching about City is pathetic and it brings them down a peg or two.gordondaviesmoustache said:nijinsky's fetlocks said:T'was ever thus - I believe it's called local rivalry.
Somehow I don't think the grief is quite as horrendous as it was back in the dark days when the rags won everything bar the Grand National, and we were struggling halfway down the old second division and Stockport Cunty did the double over us.
In retrospect I think things were a tad worse then.
This x 1000.
To anyone who's getting wound up by Rags saying something, think of it along the lines of them saying "haha, you're second in the best league in the world, with a fantastic points total and stupendous goal difference, and you're favourites to get to the quarters of the Europa!" and think about us being under Frank Clarke struggling to string five passes together or Pearce struggling to score a goal at all.
Also IT'S NOT OVER YET!
