I hope that's right. Not much room for sentimentality when you're trying to become the greatest club on earth I guess, but I will weep the day VK either leaves or hangs it up. I rarely buy kits or put a player's names on the back (it's been years), but I broke down and bought the lime-green a week ago with Vinnie's name on it just in case he left.
Kompany is tremendous. If not for injuries, he'd easily be our best defender.

Hopefully, our medical squad can keep Kompany fit next year... and in years following. If so, he's up there with Verane, Silva and Godin as best CHs in the world.

My first City jersey... was blue Kompany. :-)

@johnmc the club flushed out leaks only a few years ago, under Hughes. They gave inside info to a few people, but gave them all different names.

They were then able to see who was leaking to where.

There's a reason spursmad, who was our top itk for a time stopped posting you know, and I'm sure Kevin Hitchcock got in huge trouble on an entirely unrelated topic ;-)
I've been suspicious for a while that some of the stuff being fed to people is what's referred to as a 'barium meal' in certain quarters. So I don't post most of the stuff I hear for that reason.

But I'm convinced that Neymar is a serious target, that City have been working on it and that they believe it's do-able. But you never really know with transfers as some players/agents will play you up to the last minute.

You'd know better than me but as someone said yesterday this would fit with our Chief Execs previous modus operandi re the use of a high profile highly marketable figure who can launch the brand to a whole new level - the worldwide appeal of Neymar would be very appealing to our owners and he'd quickly become the face of the Premier League in China, the US and South America etc... Whatever Neymar cost we'd be able to recover in brand development and reach.

Nothing happened today then?

The more I think about it, the more I see that that Gundogan move, this early, is a very clever one. Apart from the player himself, it sends out a very clear message about ambitions under Pep to other, even bigger fish that we are after.

Neymar and Aguero would be a nice couple up front.

Speaking of which when will we see the first married couple in the same team? Only a matter of time right?
