That's the exact reason why they are not moving. If you were told this was the last year you are gonna make your current salary. Next year you'd be making half or less. Then your company ask you if you'd like to move to another company this year and start the half salary period a year earlier than you need to. No one in their right mind will take that deal.

So it's no surprise Kolarov doesn't want to.

But say Yaya is on 30 birthday cakes a week. He's got another year on his contract at that rate. Another club has come in and offered him 20 birthday cakes a week.

In the short term, of course he wants those 520 extra cakes over the next year from us but, once that year is up, that same club might offer him 5 or 10 birthday cakes a week because he's just spent a year getting morbidly obese. There's not even a guarantee that any club would offer him any cakes.

So, if he was to move now he'd most likely have to take a pay cut but, depending on what the pay cut is, it might be better in the long term to do that because he could easily become a forgotten man over the next 12 months and then he's going to struggle to convince anyone he's worth a single birthday cake.

That's why his baker is trying to figure out how he can have his cake and eat it too.

Ahh, but if he left now he would get a massive signing on birthday cake big enough to have a soak in. Lots of little birthday cakes on one hand against a huge birthday cake on the other.

I'm starting to have a bad feeling that we've started looking at nolito because the aubameyang discussions didn't go well, hope I'm wrong though!

Considering they are asking 65m we should walk if we can't get them down Nolito has a decent scoring record for a winger and just 14m

Elwhoever started this thread is a total FLAPPER..it's that quiet it seems City are going about their business very well..

And there's a small matter of the EUROS

if Payet scores any more wonder goals then Real madrid might make him and West Ham an incredible offer. That might make one or two players available.

Start of the season I thought this wont last but it has. Was he always this good? Never heard of him until last season.

Funnily enough I had the radio on the other day and the some guy was saying they are surprised at Marseille, don't think he really showed this kind of ability or form whilst he was there hence WHU picked him up fairly cheap.

Payet had the 2nd highest assists in Europe the season before he signed for West ham - only behind kdb
