Duncan Castles mentioned that in an article yesterday.

Duncan Castles said.... Hardly an endorsement of the truth ! Kompany needs to get himself properly fit but with all the other changes taking place across the club I can hardly see the club captain being shown the door unless a stupid offer came in for him and given his recent injury problems I simply can't see that happening. Maybe Mancini will take him on loan if we pay all his wages and give them €10m Euro's upfront for the pleasure.

NO way kompany will leave before Pep has given him a chance to see if he can get over the injuries....he will get at least a season under Pep (unless there is any serious medical worries that the Komps and the club are keeping well and truly hidden)

People seem o forget that his last injury was NOTHING to do with his calf muscle......it was purely bad luck and nothing do with being injury prone

It's not bad luck, his body is failing, and sad to say I can't see him recovering to anywhere near the level required.

Fit or not Kompany gives more fuck about the team than any of the players. He is momentous leader and player. Even if he plays 20-25 games a season I would keep him. He has to retire here. No exit would hurt more than his.

Also it isn't like he isn't the same player anymore, he misses games, but the ones he plays he is at his best.

sorry but that isn't true.......not with this latest injury...its a freak accident and had nothing to do with the ongoing calf problems (which is where your argument holds water)......

and you talk about the level required....in the games he did play he was a step or two beyond any other defender we have so even if he drops a level he is still as good as we have.
its not just what he does physically...his organisation of the defence is second to none, as are his leadership skills......

we can get another couple of seasons out of him at top level if we manage his injures..this is why buying a top centre half is so important...it will allow us to rest Vinnie when we can and do so without falling apart.

His body is failing though mate. Whilst we would all love to see a fully fit Vinnie on the pitch and not be worried he will make it to the final whistle, his time out for injuries is a concern. As mentioned earlier, I'm sure Pep will have a long look at him, but I get the impression Pep would not be sentimental in making a harsh decision if needs be.

Been busy as fuck and not been on for a few days, could someone give me a brief update please?
Ta.

You've not missed much mate....rumours are we've bid for Gabriel Jesus a winger/striker type. We interested in meeting Nolito's(winger) 15mil release clause and Sane could make his mind up by Wednesday where he wants to go.....nothing official yet but hopefully some news soon...

Just a thought, does a bid for the Brazilian Jesus (a winger) mean city know Sańe is going elsewhere?

As they looking at Nolito, Jesus and Sane.....I'm thinking they would like to sign 2 of those guys....Nolito is the only "experienced" player out of the 3 so maybe its him and one of the others they are interested in.....The only thing I would say is that Sane is only 13months older than Jesus so both are getting signed mostly for their potential....so maybe Jesus is the backup if we cant get Sane?....It seems to me that we showing alot of interest in forward players at present, almost as if we waiting for the first one to decide before we do anything...I'm guessing some of these other links are plan B's if first option doesnt get done....

He is very young with not much experience so i doubt he is the primary purchase
Jesus not much younger then sane, also looks very similar as a player in the way they play, pep is know to play youth so i was just thinking it would be one or the other, u could be right tho.

I was thinking the same about one or the other (Jesus or sane) but maybe reading abit to much into it, my view was im sure pep as spoke to the players he wants and he would already know of there intentions to join city and with city actually making a bid for Jesus I thought they might already know something about sane

Rumous were we made a 50mil (euro) bid in Jan window for Sane but his club rejected....I'm guessing we knew at that point he was interested but the latest rumours of him being torn what to do is a little worrying...Could do without any last minute change of heart like Laporte!;)
