Lichsteiner was the best right back in Europe a season or so ago. I remember him playing for Juventus on their way to the Champions League final.

while I don't believe we have placed a world record bid, hypothetically the only place it would work would be Barca. They have serious financial problems both for players (i.e. Messi and Neymar) and the club itself, their current wage budget is unsustainable and they cannot afford to keep giving Messi, Neymar and Suarez improved contracts each year as its bleeding them dry. A world record bid for one of those three would get rid of a lot of headaches. Bayern and Real don't have the same headaches Barca currently do so can afford to say no.
